The Department of Building, NUS School of Design and Environment, invites applications for faculty appointment as Assistant Professor. Candidates should possess a Ph.D., preferably with research and teaching experience. The successful applicant will be required to teach modules in Total Building Performance (with strength in Green Building Technologies and Computational Support System) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake cutting-edge research for which facilities and funds are available.
The Department’s vision is “to become a global leader in knowledge and enterprise in project and facilities management”. It offers an undergraduate honours programme in Project and Facilities Management, as well as taught graduate programmes in Building Science and Project Management. The Department also offers higher degree programmes by research, including a joint Ph.D. programme with the Technical University of Denmark, focusing on indoor environment and energy.
The Department has a good research track record. The research output of its academic staff members have been published in top peer-reviewed journals. The two areas of research focus are Project Management and Total Building Performance.
