Energy Audit Process

In this direction the key player is the PUB. Over the years the Board has collected a tremendous amount of data. This forms a firm base for detailed analysis where avenues for energy saving may be identified convincingly. It is with the support of such a database that educational programmes and packages may be developed and directed at the appropriate professional group to yield the optimal results.

Energy Audit and analysis therefore remains the key tool towards effective energy conservation. The collection of such data may be fine tuned and standardised to facilitate exchange and comparison. As can be seen from the survey results presented in the preceding section energy audit results may be used at different levels to shape energy conservation strategies. In this area, the National University of Singapore is working closely with the PUB to jointly exploit the potential of the database established.
