Research backup and database are therefore important tools in ensuring success. In this direction the School of Building and Estate Management at the NUS has the relevant expertise to research and organise such specialist packages. Its M.Sc. (building Science) programme offers modules such as Building Energy Analysis, Building Automated Systems and Controls, and Building Materials Selection and Applications. The M.Sc. (Real Estate) programme also offers courses such as Building Services Management and Building Management. In addition, special short courses for large property firms have been organised to provide specialised training on a regional basis.
